In my baby book I discovered an entry from my mother that says, loves to play with clay, but I won't have it in the house. Perhaps this is one of the reasons I didn't become an artist until my more mature years.

I am a native of the Northwest, and have lived in Seattle since 1981. For most of my adult life I have worked with at-risk kids in both the public and private sector. In the mid 80's I took some time off to find myself. I took an intensive course in graphic design, took up square dancing, learned to play the fiddle and banjo, traveled around the States, and took studio classes in painting. Eventually my interest in the arts led me to Seattle Pratt Fine Arts Center. It was there that I made the shift from painting to printmaking.
