William A. Herberholz is
from Havelock, North Dakota. He studied art at the University
of Minnesota, and performance at the Nancy Hauser Dance
School in Minneapolis. Along the way, he has been a
Trappist monk, a performer and an avid bicyclist.
Bill is a printmaker and a tin artist. His mixed media
prints evolve from collages and drawings. He creates
environments where the past and present intermingle.
The tin art, like the prints and drawings, are an extension
of collages, but are infused with sensory memory. Their
images and colors evoke memories of our own childhood,
what we used and played with in our daily lives.
Bill is represented by the Lisa Cosino Gallery in Monterey,
California. In Seattle, his work can be seen at Murphy’s
Design and Showroom in West Seattle. |
